Port Cancellation Policies
Ports can now define transparent fee structures for agents, and track all triggered cancellation fees directly in DOKK.
Mobile calendar refresh
The mobile calendar has been refreshed with improved performance and usability, making it faster and easier to navigate your port call schedule on the go.
Port cancellation policies
Ports can now define their own cancellation policies, giving agents clear and transparent information about potential fees when cancelling a port call.
Fee basis: fees can be calculated by Length Overall (LOA), Gross Register Tonnage (GRT), as a percentage of dock dues, or applied equally to all vessels
Tiers: flexible cancellation tiers define fees based on how far in advance the cancellation occurs, supporting a percentage of the estimated port fee, a fixed amount, or both
Schedule of Rates & Dues: ports can attach a link to their official rates page, shown to agents and cruise lines when they inspect cancellation fees on a port call
Copy to other ports: apply your cancellation policy and all fee tiers to your other ports in one click. The same applies to your booking horizon policy
Example: a port might charge 10% if cancelled more than 90 days before arrival, 30% within 90 days, and 60% within 30 days, with different rates for vessels over 300m.
Cancellation policies are configured under your port's settings page, alongside your existing booking horizon and blocked dates. If your cancellation model doesn't fit the current options, please contact us and describe how your fees are structured, we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Cancellation Records — now under Port Insights
Port organizations with an active Insights subscription can now access a full list of port call cancellations directly in DOKK, including the policy tier that was triggered and the applicable fee at the time of cancellation.
CSV export: filter and export cancellation records to share with your finance or operations team
Analytics charts: at-a-glance visualisations of cancellation fees by month, breakdown by fee tier, and lead-time distribution
Note: this only captures cancellations going forward from the date your cancellation policies and cost tiers are configured. We are working on a backfill tool to include earlier cancellations from the current year, this will be available in a future update.
