v1.5minor22 July 2026

Excursion Providers and Calendar updates

This update brings minor updates to the calendar, visually but also improves the flow of navigating adjacent months. 1.5 also slightly fixes the MFA system and moves from 24 hour verification to 72 hour verification. Major inclusion in this update is the addition of excursion providers in DOKK.

Calendar update

The embed calendar has been updated, weekday and date headers now stay visible as you scroll, and you can load previous and upcoming months directly from the calendar view.

MFA for all users

MFA (two-factor authentication) is now required for all users. Anyone who has not set up MFA before July 1st, 2026 will need to do so before they can continue using the platform. As part of our ongoing security improvements, users with MFA enabled will be prompted to re-verify every 72 hours to keep sessions secure. Users can reset their MFA in their account settings page. If you have multiple devices you’d want to store your MFA access.

Introducing Shore Excursions into the platform

For years we’ve used a solution in Iceland named Smali (https://old.faxafloahafnir.is/smali/) to cover these daily excursions, ie like whale watching or joy rides on smaller vessels. Now we offer these types of organizations an invite to join DOKK and expand the platform even further. Ports will receive requests from excursion providers to operate at their ports which they can accept or reject. Later on the ports can monitor and review any logs placed by excursion providers. This system differs from the traditional port call system since excursion providers usually are located at the same pier or berth and do round trips daily with tourists or other guests. Any incidents in the logs will be immediately notified to the port user(s) and port users can review statistics related to excursions and manage the logs by “processing” them so they can be validated and transferred into any port’s local system of accounting. The features available for excursion providers is a bit more limited than other core users therefore there is no fee relating to excursion providers joining and using the platform. We will improve the Excursion features later on based on feedback from both ports and excursion providers to make the experience more seamless.

Fixes

Booking Curve in insights page for ports now show downticks in terms of PAX capacity as well as GRT of vessels. Permissions were missing for primary port users for accepting port calls, said action was fixed and added to frontend for organization admins to control these permissions for primary users. Country of origin field for bulk booking has been properly fixed to autocomplete correctly with first suggested value.
